“Why do we have a museum on campus? In order to help make better citizens! The Schneider Museum of Art is an elemental component of SOU’s liberal arts milieu. We offer all visitors an advanced discourse on the meaning of contemporary art and expression; we provide lessons to students and opportunities for the public to reflect and contemplate the human condition; and we provide diverse ideas and challenging points of view, as well as different culture, age, race, and gender perspectives. Experiencing the arts is for everyone—it help us measure our humanness.”
